Halloween Pictures!


We did carve a pumpkin this year (designed by Aaron), but its life was fairly short-lived because we didn't quite finish taking out all of the inside goop so it got rotten pretty fast. But it made it to Halloween, at least!

In case you can't tell, Aaron was a knight, Kourtney a princess, Elliot a dragon, and Ben a horse. This is us suited up for a church party the Saturday before Halloween.

Aaron had a sword fight with an Urik-ai at the party, and apparently won.

On the actual night of Halloween, Aaron ended up being some kind of Batman-Knight combo. They wouldn't allow him to take his sword to school (even though, as he insisted, "it's not really sharp. It's just pretend.") so he thought it was pretty lame to be a knight without a sword. So as a last minute costume change, we painted a little outline of a Batman mask on his face with the symbol on his forehead and let him wear his Batman pajamas to school. Then that night when we went to the Halloween parade in the neighborhood, he wanted to keep his Batman costume on underneath his knight costume, in case he wanted to switch identities.

Our friends dressed up as a mermaid family (Lisa the mom made all the costumes). Lucky for Cameron, it wasn't an extremely cold Halloween night. It was awesome though.

Elliot was going crazy over all the treats everyone was getting except him. We gave him this lollipop to play with, but it didn't take him long to figure out what to do with it. It also took only a few minutes for the wrapper to come off... d'oh.

After trick-or-treating, we went to a little gathering at a friend's house, where they have a haunted house. This is one of the characters from it. It was pretty scary. Aaron loved it, which was pretty funny considering that the other kids were freaked out.

Blurble!

Well, we are official New Yorkers now (or at least closer to being so...) because we've been to a Mets game. Uncle Ben, friend Joe B, and us all hiked out to Shea Stadium to take part in a real New York experience: over-priced hot dogs and a losing game. It was pretty fun.

The following few sets of pictures are from our trip in September out to Utah. The trip out was for an unfortunate circumstance, the death of my grandfather, but as it turned out ALL of my siblings were there and we all got to celebrate and mourn the death of our amazing grandfather. When I told Aaron that great grandpa died and that he would go live with Heavenly Father now, he looked at me and said, "Woohoo!" I tried to remember and be loyal to that perspective as we were there.
